Peace
Director Hind Metwalli -
based on the novel by John Knowles
Gene and Finny are roommates and
friends at a prestigious New England boarding school. Gene is a
lonely, introverted intellectual who has ambitions of becoming
valedictorian. However, his efforts to study are constantly thwarted
by carefree, extroverted, athlete Finny. It is the year 1942, and
with WWII raging around them, the boys have managed to create a safe
haven from the harsh reality of war. However, this sanctuary is
threatened when Gene begins to suspect that Finny’s distractions
are a conscious effort to sabotage him.
Hind Metwalli graduated from the
American University in Cairo with a Bachelor’s in Political
Science. She then went on to study Film Production at the New York
Film Academy and the University of Southern California. She currently
